What is Chemberry?
Chemberry, is an innovative internet platform enabling chemical buyers to easily find the ingredients they need. Initially covering Personal Care, the search service will later expand across multiple industry sectors.
Since 2019, Chemberry is the most comprehensive source of personal care ingredients available online. In an industry-first, it features all relevant chemical suppliers and their products for free, automatically extracting and organizing product information from existing supplier websites. Detailed, up-to-date information and one-of-a-kind cross-referencing creates an intelligent search and compare platform for specialty chemical ingredients.
What is the relationship between Chemberry and Clariant?
Chemberry is an industry-initiative funded by Clariant. It is impartial and exists to benefit the specialty chemicals industry as a whole. Furthermore, Clariant is a paying customer of Chemberry’s and does not benefit from any additional information, data or features. Chemberry operates out of its own organizational unit strictly separated from other business activities to ensure confidentiality, compliance, and neutrality of the platform.
Who do we list and how does it work?
Our aim is to be the most comprehensive personal care ingredient platform with the widest coverage of ingredients.
We do our best to list as many personal care ingredient supplier companies as possible. However, since Chemberry is currently only available in English, a prerequisite for being listed is having product and company information available in English. Being listed as a supplier on Chemberry is free and will help to increase online visibility including SEO benefits. Verified pages are re-crawled weekly to ensure content is up to date without having to manually update data in various locations.

Who can see products on Chemberry?
Chemberry is an open platform on which everybody can search for products. After a certain number of search queries the user is asked to sign-up for free.
How does our ranking work?
As of now, the relevance ranking of products is completely neutral and not biased for any company or product. In technical terms, the widely known term frequency-inverse document frequency ranking algorithm is used (see frequency-inverse document frequency). To ensure that not only exact matches are shown we developed synonym dictionaries to establish cross-references between related chemical terms. This was done with the help of leading industry experts.

How does the certifications filter work?
Chemberry offers the possibility to also search and filter by certifications. We retrieve the information if a product is certified from the supplier and/or directly from the certification provider.
COSMOS: The COSMOS standard applies to cosmetic products that are marketed as organic or natural. Its guiding principles are:
NATRUE: NATRUE promotes and protects natural and organic cosmetics worldwide. They allow only natural, derived and nature identical ingredients and guarantees no artificial ingredients. At least 75% of the products of a specific brand must meet NATRUE standards to receive certification.
What can I do if I cannot find the product that I am looking for?
We are working hard to expand our product listings on Chemberry as quickly as possible. If you are looking for a product that is not yet listed on our platform please get in touch with us via email@example.com. We will do our best to list missing suppliers or will help you to find appropriate alternative suppliers for you.
Who can register on Chemberry?
Buyers, researchers, formulators, students, consultants and similar are eligible to create a free buyer account. To register you need to sign up for a free buyer account and insert the required information.

Who can see my profile?
After registration, your personal information can be used for our trend, analytics and lead services. Further information can be found in our data protection and privacy regulations.
Suppliers have the option to do a 30-day free trial for our Flexible Package and Unlimited Package without being charged. The following elements are part of the free trial:
The free trial will automatically end after 30 days and is only possible one time per company. Afterward, the supplier will be automatically in the category Basic Package. An upgrade to a Flexible Package or Unlimited Package is possible at any time.
The Basic Package is the default option for suppliers. The following elements are included in the Basic Package:
There is always the possibility to upgrade a Basic Package into the Flexible Package or Unlimited Package.
The Flexible Package offers a flexible and lead-based pricing model. With the Flexible Package you have everything from the Basic Package as well as the following benefits:
With the Flexible Package, you will be billed quarterly depending on the number of leads you receive within 3 months. We charge 200€ per qualified lead and 20€ per unqualified lead. A qualified Lead means a lead that contains personal information on a potential sample and/or order requests such as application area, sample size, total application size, shipping address, and others. An unqualified lead means a lead that contains information about the behavior of a potential customer such as the number of product clicks or product comparison. To give you a better overview of your company’s current leads situation we created real-time, customized and company-specific traffic and lead dashboards. Also, there is a maximum amount of a quarterly bill between 5,000.00 - 20,000.00 € depending on the number of your company’s products available on Chemberry. The Unlimited Package offers our sales and digital marketing possibilities on a yearly subscription base. With the Unlimited Package you have everything from the Basic Package as well as the following benefits:
The Unlimited Package is available for a yearly subscription with customer-specific pricing. Based on your company products listed on Chemberry the annual price will vary between 5,000.00 - 20,000.00 €. Contact us for more information about company-specific pricing.
How can I update or change my product or company information?
To complete or amend company and product information, please send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Our support team will send you our product editor in an Excel format, which contains an extract of all your company and product information. The Excel format makes it easy for you to complete the document and circulate it in your organization if needed. You will find detailed information on how to use our product editor directly in the file, as well as in our tutorials. Once completed, you just need to send the product editor back to email@example.com. Our team will then verify the new entries and take care of updating your information on Chemberry.
Where do I find my company VAT?
Every company registered in Europe has a unique value-added tax (VAT) identification number. You can find this on your company tax statement, or you can call your country’s tax authorities.
What payment methods are available on Chemberry?
Payments can be done via invoice. Credit card payment will be re-activated soon.
What happens after the registration?
After registration, the Chemberry team personally verifies your company. This is to ensure that the Chemberry platform remains a trusted and credible platform. We perform a basic background check using public registers and scan for previous compliance issues. This verification process usually takes 1-4 business days. If successful, Chemberry will inform you of your account’s activation and provide you with an onboarding demo to help you add other users in your team.
How can I add more users to my company's Chemberry account?
If your company is a registered supplier and you manage that Chemberry subscription, you can easily invite more users from your company. Please note that they will have the same subscription package that you chose for your company. You can add an unlimited number of users by logging in with your personal account and then navigating here.
Who can see my company’s data?
Once you’ve registered your supplier account, your supplier analytics dashboard will be activated. We take your privacy very seriously: only users from your company who have been invited by the company account’s administrator can see your data.

I registered, but cannot connect to the platform, what can I do?
As soon as you register to Chemberry, a verification e-mail is sent to your e-mail address. This e‑mail contains an account activation link which you should click to activate your account.
It can happen that this e‑mail ends in your spam folder and gets automatically deleted by your IT system after a while. Should you not be able to find this verification e‑mail or still be unable to connect, please send us an e‑mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where can I delete my account?

How does Chemberry ensure data security?
All web traffic is encrypted. All data is stored on encrypted disk space and hosted in a secure European cloud infrastructure. The software development follows security best practices. Further, we frequently scan our platform for possible security weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
How does Chemberry assure the quality of suppliers?
The selection of suppliers follows a process that includes several checks for each selected supplier, which is conducted by our domain experts.
How does Chemberry make sure that product information on the platform is accurate?
All product information is taken from the supplier's website, the manual company product editor and from certification databases. Further, we have a team of chemical experts who constantly check listed products and evaluate the quality of the information provided. If we notice that something is missing or misleading, we will get in touch with the respective supplier and help to improve the information.
